I'll never understand what gets into the heads of executives when they mouth off about politics. It's a pretty well known fact that if you make a statement, there will always be many people out there to disagree with you. Most of the time, that isn't a huge deal, but when you are a figurehead for a company, and the subject matter you've decided to run your mouth on is a hot topic issue of the day, things get really bad really fast.

Yeah, that's right, the chicken sandwich guy cares about something besides chicken, and apparently didn't foresee that no matter what stance he was gonna take, it was going to cost him business. The fact that he took the less popular stance only makes matters worse. No matter your opinion on gay marriage, it will exist and be legalized all around the US within the next 10 years or so. You might as well jump on the bandwagon now. It's just smart business sense. And I thought that was the only thing company presidents were supposed to care about.
